MADISON, INDIANA
	adison, Indiana is a unique and historic river town, located on the Ohio River about half-way between Cincinnati, Ohio and Louisville, KY. In the early 1800's it was a city bustling with commerce and people. Then came the steam locomotive, and river traffic screeched to a halt. Madison became something of a ghost town, which preserved its lovely homes and downtown architecture as progress-minded people moved elsewhere. Today Madison has a busy community events calendar, including festivals for art, culture, and music. The downtown area is filled with charming shops, restaurants, bed and breakfast choices, making a choice weekend destination for both Hoosiers and travelers from out of state.
